When building rustic buildings and playhouses tanalised timber will last the longest.
Why is this?
Well, its all about penetration and how deep into the wood you can apply the presevative. Tanalised timber has been pressure treated so that the eco-friendly presevative has been forced under pressure deep into the heart of the timber. This stops and fungal organisms and insects from eating the wood as they would naturally do in the forest.

Simply applying preservative by brush, spray or immersion is superficial and does not penetrate deep into the core of the wood. These types of preservatives should be used to cover any untreated heart wood each time a piece of pressure treated timber is cut. In fact, when building decking, rustic garden sheds and playhouses tanalised timber is a necessity, if you want them to last.
